Need Help Choosing Pump Replacement

Hello!

Have a 25,000gal inground pool in SW Oklahoma.

I would like to replace my Hayward TriStar pump.

This Hayward pump has served well. Therefore, my initial thoughts are to stay with the same brand.

There are so many models on the market that I am having a hard time figuring out a suitable, comparable choice.

Please help!

Welcome to the community! Hayward no longer makes a Single-speed pump above 1hp. If you wanted to stick with Hayward, this would be their Variable-speed options:

Is it correct that this would not be a drop in replacement - the controller would need to be updated to control the variable speed pump?

For the XE Series TriStar and XE Series Super Pump, you would be able to control the speeds via the button on the back. However, the MaxFlo Vs 420 would hook up to the OmniX mobile app and be able to be used within Bluetooth range. You can also add an OmniX Gateway to use the app anywhere your phone has service.
